I’m a part of this phenomenal little experiment the RPG Blogger’s Network is running, in which we’ll be collaborating on a campaign setting. I signed up, eager to get involved, and then… nothing.
I don’t know what type of society I want, and I have no idea what to do as far as where to go next.
I have a few ideas:
An isolated mountainous society that combines the idea of asian monks with european knights.
An oceanside paradise, ruled by a benevolent despot, though things aren’t as they appear on the surface…
A mountain stronghold of dwarves, aided by their kindly friends the Goliaths, they diligently work the earth for rare gems, while contending with creatures from the deep bowels of the earth.
I’m sure once I get down what I want to do, I’ll be blazing away at it. I plan on using “Gary Gygax’s Nation Builder” to help out, and recommend it to all the other contributors to the setting.
