I recently got the chance to finally read the Silhouette CORE rules (the system that's used with both Heavy Gear Blitz and the Jovian Chronicles) and I think the system has a lot of potential - it's well-thought out in terms of mechanics and well-written, plus the settings are very cool with an anime feel but set in a hard science setting. They're definitely worth checking out.

D20 mecha was a good resource.

used to use it in our long running D20 Dragonstar sci-fantasy game.

I had thought i heard somewhere that the old mechwarrior RPG had been re-released.

Otherwise, not a whole lot outside of the tabletop wargamey stuff.

You could try Cthulhutech, which has mecha on giant monster action. It's very lightly anime-influenced but it's hard to notice under all the Lovecraftian trimmings.

Heavy Gear or Jovian Chronicles from Dream Pod 9 would be a good choice.

Cthulutech is also an interesting option if you want to combine those two flavors.

There is a True20 setting called Mecha vs. Kaiju that is more Godzilla movie than anime.

Rifts has giant robots

Heavy Gear is a great roleplaying game that features mecha that are a bit more realistic than BT's mechs. It has a great setting an the rules are a bit crunchy but ok. And you can play it as a board/tabletop-game and a roleplaying game which is a great plus in my book. http://www.dp9.com

Dreampod 9, the publisher of Heavy Gear also has GearKrieg and Jovian Chronicles, two other games featuring giant robots. You should check them out as well.

Although the art in all that games is anime-ish, you should really have a look.
